Heather Cvar has been working with fragrance and olfaction art since 2015. She attends classes at The Institute of Art And Olfaction in Los Angeles. Her most recent experiments in scent were imaginative, fragrant recreations of classic scenes from films (Paris, Texas; The Birds; A Swedish Love Story, and others). She also has an episode entitled ‘Biologically Speaking’ on podcast/radio show Perfume On The Radio.

For her first public collection of accords, she continues to draw inspiration from the nostalgia and emotion of these environments as well as olfactory experiences around the world. They are unique in the fact they can be worn individually or layered together to create your own scents, conveniently packaged in sleek travel-size roller bottles.

Clue (smoke, leather, and heavy base notes)

Heavy with innuendo and rich with suspense, this fragrance is inspired by elements of classic noir cinema and vintage paperback mystery novels. A heady mix of worn leather, pipe smoke and fine cigar and the bright snap of wood burning fire.

Flower Bath (soft and exotic florals)

Delicate, mysterious, unplaceable – this light floral mix embraces the scent of exotic lands, the unknown fragrances of a hidden garden. Muted as if underwater, never sweet, the scent is inspired by the ritual of the bath, flowers strewn and floating across the surface.

 YZTI (oily machinery)

The grit of black oil on metal, the scent of machinery in crisp winter air - this fragrance is inspired by the electric zap gasoline smell of industry. Imagine an overcast December in the warehouse district or by the wharf, the blast of exhaust smoke, the clang of pumps and slow and comforting grind of gears.

Countrysång (misty woods, cedar, asphalt, and rain)

The Swedish for “country song” this scent is Inspired by a long ago, long distance love affair. Deep tones of cedar, the smell of warm asphalt and a hint of summer rain, this fragrance marries the cool green of a Swedish forest with honky-tonk neon reflected in the wet street Nashville night.

Sea Note A (kelp, ambergris, salt)

The scent of deep earth, clear water and heavy humidity, this fragrance was inspired by the dew-laden feel of a tropical cenote. Layers of salt, seaweed and sensual ambergris, the moist green scent of cave wall, as you leap feet first into the  cool blue bliss.

 Velda (anise, violet, amber)

Dust motes caught in curtained light, the pale blue of dusk - this fragrance visited me in a dream. Embracing ethereal notes of vintage violet, bright absinthe and warm amber, Velda is named for my late grandmother. Although she left us when my mother was young, she lives on through stories told, layers of memory passed on from one generation to the next.

Oh Zone (ozone and electricity)

The smell that hangs in the air just after lightening strikes
